Measuring for Jacket & Waistcoat

Tip:
Be totally relaxed when you measure (Don’t hold your breath)

measure suit

Get a measuring tape: You'll need a flexible measuring tape to get an accurate measurement of the chest.

Stand up straight: Make sure the person being measured is standing up straight with their arms relaxed at their sides.

Wrap the tape around the widest part of the chest: This is usually around the nipple area. Make sure the tape is straight and not too tight or too loose.

Take the measurement: Read the measurement on the tape measure in inches

Compare to size chart: Once you have the chest measurement, you can compare it to the size chart of the suit brand you are interested in. Generally, suit sizes are based on the chest measurement in inches, so a 38R suit, for example, would fit someone with a 38-inch chest.

Between Sizes?: The style of our suits is already quite fitted, if you want a comfortable fit go for the size higher. If you would like a tighter look go down.

Measuring for Trousers Waist

Tip: People generally go one size up from a jean, formal trousers are always a tighter fit.

measure for suit

You will need: A flexible measuring tape and the person being measured should wear snug-fitting underwear or pants.

Locate the natural waistline: The natural waistline is the narrowest part of the torso and is usually located above the belly button and below the rib cage.

Measure the waist: Wrap the measuring tape around the natural waistline, ensuring that it is parallel to the floor and not twisted. Make sure the tape is snug but not tight and that it is not digging into the skin. Take the measurement in inches.

Between Sizes?: Go for the size up, sizing down will result in the trousers being too tight when sat down making them uncomfortable.
